music goodness

Was talking with vampyrichamster and she asked who sang the original version of "How Soon Is Now", the theme song used for the Charmed show on the WB. A quick serached turned up it being originally by the Smiths (who knew?) with the current cover done by Love Spit Love. I downloaded both versions off of WinMX. Both are good, but I prefer the LSL version better. The lead singer has a nice growlly voice compared to the more high/sort of falsetto voice (on the upper notes at least) of Morrissey.

At some point this morning I was taken over and experimented on by aliens. I know this because I found myself voluntarily downloading and liking the song by Celine Dion, "A New Day Has Come". Now, typically I consider listening to her songs a severe form of torture banned by the Geneva Convention, but much like what happened with Mariah Carey's "Fantasy", one song just had to pop up that I liked and therefore I can't say categorically I hate all the artist's songs. Hmpf!

Love Spit Love - "How soon is now [Extended version]"

Last night I was feeling some achy twinges in my back. When I woke up today my back was hella sore. I ended up popping 800mg of prescription Ibuprofin all day. I can't figure out what's causing the pain. Hopefully it'll go away soon. And you know, I was supposed to help my uncle move a small jacuzzi from the garage to the backyard but that got cancelled because of the high winds that've been blowing all day long.

whoa nelly!

We got a new vaccuum! YAY! Yeah, yeah. I know, I'm easily pleased. ;o) But you see this Hoover: sure as hell can suck pretty powerfully, is bagless (*does Snoopy dance*), and only makes half as much noise as the previous machine.
