past friday five (http://www.fridayfive.org)

Friday Five is down this week so I used the one from January 11th

1. What was your first job?
Working at Wendy's when I was 18 cooking burgers, fries, chicken patties, etc... I worked the 8pm to midnight shift and sometimes was told to work off the clock a bit, which is illegal, but I didn't want to complain about it. That job didn't last long. Oddly enough I wasn't intending to apply for the job. I had gone with my friend J while he applied but since I was there I got interviewed by an assistant manager and I got the job. My friend didn't. *grin*

2. How old were you when you had your first kiss?
A serious non-family kiss? Old. Very old. Like the late 20s old.

3. What was your first car?
I had inherited my sister's '72 Plymouth Valiant when she moved to Georgia with her new husband and couldn't take the car with her. The vinyl top was shredding off bit by bit. The car shimmied once you hit 60mph. And, it was a bitch to start. The car eventually got sold to this one guy who wanted to use it for parts.

4. What was your first concert?
None. I don't like crowds hence going to a concert, to me anyway, would be like being asked to light my hair on fire.

5. How do you plan to spend your weekend?
Mundane stuff. Returning books to the library. Stopping by the Friends of the Library store. Heading to WalMart for tiny curtains for the bathroom. Yadda yadda...

Musical Youth - "Pass the dutchie"

music yumminess

I had spent some time today downloading songs I had seen listed on VH1's "100 Greatest One Hit Wonders." I had downloaded:

EMF - "Unbelievable"
Gerardo - "Rico Suave"
M - "Pop Musik"
Musical Youth - "Pass The Dutchie"
Right Said Fred - "I'm Too Sexy"
Vanilla Ice - "Ice Ice Baby"

There's still a few more I want to download. I'm thinking of critiquing the list and might still do so, but not right now. I had also downloaded Khia's "My Neck, My Back", the uncensored version, thanks in part to gunthak listing it in his current music. I'd been meaning to download it but kept forgetting. Kinda like that haircut I need.... *ties string on finger to remind him*

    M - "Pop Musik"

crap on TV

Yeah, there's the usual list of crap on TV like "Becker", "Ed", "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and "American Idol". I want to add another to my list: CNBC's "WSJ Editorial Board." I don't understand why it's on CNBC and not FoxNews. Bunch of right-wing elitist bastards. *ponders* I should add "bastardettes." I mustn't be discriminatory.
