the weather and books

Today was nice and sunny. The two days prior to that hand plenty of thunder in the background. Monday it sprinkled here twice with the power briefly flickering once while I was making dinner. Only the microwave lost power that time. Just as I started eating dinner we lost power for about second. This time it caused the computers to reboot, my mother's didn't want to switch back on. I checked the 'puter after dinner and by then everything was fine with it. Tuesday it sprinkled all of a few seconds and then was sunny directly over town for most of the day. South of town there were big black clouds with thunder and lightning.

Also yesterday I returned my library books. I had checked out three and bought three:
  • "The Jesus Incident" by Frank Herbet and Bill Ransom
  • "Servant of the Empire" by Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts
  • "Beggars and Choosers" by Nancy Kress
  • Current Music
    Elastica - "Connection"
