friday five (http://www.fridayfive.org)

1. How long have you had a weblog?
It's more of a journal than a weblog actually. I created this LJ account back on February 2nd, 2001. I had back dated a few entries so the calendar shows the journal going back to 2000.

2. What was your first post about?
Uh... *blinks and checks the day view* The real first entry was apologizing for times being odd when I copied over entries from where I had them originally.

3. How many changes (name, location, etc.) of your weblog have there been, if more than one?
Hmm, well, I had opened -- and still have I think -- a Blogger account but the FTP update thingy never worked so I decided to hand code journal entries on a page where my website is. I hadn't made many entries before I decided to try LJ. After looking at ebby's and mokie's journals I figured I'd give it a try.

4. What CMS (content management system) do you use?
Everything is done and hosted by LiveJournal so there's no real maintenance on my part except for changing colors & styles. I have downloaded Greymatter and Movable Type just to look at the source code and find them interesting. I would love to be able to have the current calendar on the recent events page like MT has. Maybe when S2 comes out... <-- I seem to say that a lot.

5. Do you read people who have both a journal and a weblog? Or do you prefer to read people who have all of their writing in one central place?
I prefer it when they have one page to look at with a mix of content. It's interesting to see how their train of thought and style of presentation works.

feeling masochistic?

Do you want to hurt yourself? Do you love your journal's content and look? Do crave other people's opinions? If you've answered yes to all these then enter your journal/blog in Blog HOT or NOT!

On the flipside... if you love toying with people's hopes and then subsequently crushing their feelings, go there and vote what you really think of the journals. *evil grin* Yeah, this is amusing for right now and I'll probably get tired of it soon. There are, though, a few really damn good looking journals there and some that are butt-ass ugly but with good content.
