Big Gay Vince, bastard, Southpark me

LiveJournal questions (whee!)

1. Your LiveJournal user name and what it means:
desertwolf. It's the name I've been going by (mostly) since the fall of 1998.

2. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) how well does your LiveJournal represent who you actually are?
I give a generous 5 on this since there are some things, some important, that I don't write about. Nothing against the readers but there's simply things I don't talk about to anyone, in real life or on the Internet.

3. How much about your life do you post to LiveJournal?
If I think it might be of interest I do. Some things are just too boring. Why inflict that on anyone else, eh? ;o)

4. Is there anything you refuse to post about?
Hmm, my sex life (or rather lack thereof) with one friends-only exception. I don't get into religion either since that tends to get awefully convoluted sometimes.

5. On a scale of 1 to 10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others?
I hope at least a 5 otherwise they ought to stop reading it. heh

6. From who/how did you find out about LiveJournal?
Hmm, I think I saw ebby's journal before I saw mokie's but I can't quite remember.

7. Has anyone ever joined LiveJournal because of you?
Not that I know of. I think it was mokie who got vampyrichamster to join.

8. What proportion of your posts are friends only?
I've only done one friends-only post. That was back in early January.

9. What is your favorite interest on LiveJournal?
*glares* There are 136 interests on my profile. I am not going to choose just one. I will give a category though - the authors: Mercedes Lackey, David Eddings, Raymond E. Feist, Anne McCaffrey, L. E. Modesitt

10. Has anything on LiveJournal ever caused you to establish, rethink, or even change your belief or position on something?
Nope. I'm pretty damn stubborn on what I believe in. The chances of me changing my mind are very slim if not infinitesmal.

11. How often do you comment on other people's journals?
Even if I find a post informative or funny, unless I have something to say I won't. There's enough worthless jibber-jabber on the Net so that I don't need to contribute to that.

12. Do you prefer to write in your journal or read other journals?
Reading other journals of course. Being the voyeur at heart that I am. ;o)

13. Have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got into an argument/flame war on LiveJournal?
Nope, no flames here. And I couldn't pay someone enough to be my stalker. heh.

14. Have you ever banned someone from your journal?
Not yet. It'd take something pretty bad or someone bugging me incessantly to get me to ban them.

15. Who are your favorite LiveJournal friend(s) and why?
I hate these questions. If you leave someone out they get a bit miffed. Really I could say my entire friends list otherwise they wouldn't be there, right? But I had to pick one, and only one, it'd be vampyrichamster. We've known each other for almost 4 years now... and haven't had each other assasinated -- yet. That speaks volumes I think. :oÞ

16. How many of your LiveJournal friends have you actually met?
I'm assuming the "in person" was left off. None so far. The closet to me in geographic terms is bulldawg so I imagine he'd be the first I'd probably see.

17. Of all of the people on LiveJournal you know of, who is the most like you?
*agape* Like me?! I wouldn't wish that on anyone. *shudders* Seriously, there's no one quite like me, though, there are parts of my personality I can see in others.

18. Why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list?
Because I find what they write interesting. Mind you, I have a folder with bookmarks to journals that aren't on my friends list that I check as well, like: banshee, brianrdu and richie73

19. Do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first?
Yes, but it doesn't mean I'd keep them after a while.

20. What is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list?
If they are too profane or hateful I won't even concider adding them. Also, if that person and I have too many philosophical differences I wouldn't add them either, simply because I don't like arguing too much. It tires me.

21. Is your "significant other" on LiveJournal?
There is no such person currently. I am, however, accepting applications to fill that vacancy. ;o)

22. Have you ever wanted to meet someone on LiveJournal?
Heck yeah. I'd like to everyone meet everyone on my friends list not to mention some other people as well.

23. On a scale of 1-10, rate the LiveJournal for convenience, usefulness, and coolness factor:
Coolness: 10. 'Cause, like, you know, everyone is doing it! *pops the gum in his mouth* Fer sure!
Usefulness: 8. There are features I'd like to see made, not including waiting for S2 to be implemented and image hosting.
Convience: 8. Would be higher if it weren't for slow downs waiting for new servers every month. Or so it seems like.

24. Who is the cutest girl/guy on LiveJournal?
Don't even get me started on that subject. I've been known to change my mind every hour on the hour. I will say this though, I have a directory dedicated to userpics of LJ guys I find yummy.

25. Who have you known for at least a year or more from LiveJournal?
Hmm, I think those would be ebby, mokie, bulldawg, vampyrichamster, markfinn, gatallguy, the_phred and art.
