art, b-day and sports

I had just gotten out of the shower, gotten some underwear on and was putting lotion on my face when I heard the mailman come by. The mailboxes are on my north bedroom wall so I can hear anybody accessing them. Anyway, then the mailman buzzed the doorbell so I had to dash to my room and get dressed. He had a package that was a bit too wide to fit the box. It turned out to be the CD music that art had sent me. Good music! Thank you art! I made the mistake showing my mother the CD and I think she has plans to borrow the CD soon... hopefully she'll remember to return it. :o)

We were invited to dinner at the Sizzler by my cousin for her son's birthday. I ordered the Double Malibu Chicken which was a change from the usual soup and salad bar. Then we headed over to my cousin's house for some ice cream cake. Her son made out like a bandit with all the money he'd gotten for his birthday.

On Sunday... the Giants lost the World Series. Damn, but it was a good series. Hopefully next year the team will be just as good though it's doubtful whether Baker or Kent will be back. The team owner has been hinting that he's not interesting in keeping Kent which is a stupid decision IMHO. The Raiders lost AGAIN. That's 3 games in a row now and they'd better get their asses in gear (just not next week please) because there are only 2 wildcard spots now per division. With Denver or the Chargers in the west and Miami or Buffalo in the east the spots could be gone quickly. The 49ers won against the Cardinals BUT like last week once they got the lead they went soft and let the opponent come back into the game. Thankfully they held on this time for the win but I'm not too thrilled how Mooch is coaching the endgame.
