boy scout moment of the day

A few days ago my neighbor upstairs in #4 received a moderate-sized package via Fed-Ex which turned out to be a big shelf stereo system. She had opened the box but couldn't get the packaging out and likely wouldn't be able to set it up, so, she rang the doorbell and asked if I could help her. She's a sweet old gal so I told her "no problem." I got it unpacked, put it where she wanted and set the clock on it. She thanked me and mentioned she has trouble figuring out things by trying to read the manual. It's better if she's shown how to. While I don't have problems figuring out manuals I find it a lot easier to be shown as well. Anyway, if she has any problems she knows she can ask me for help, even if it's something as simple as changing the light bulb in the garage. I don't mind at all.

can I sue for second-hand smoke?

Though the closest of the SoCal fires is a good 50 miles away the smoke scent from them has finally arrived here. I didn't notice anything until about dinner time. Now, even without the cooler on to drag the air in I can smell it thickly. Bleh!

Edit: For whatever good it'll do, I've shut all the windows. Ugh.
