I had gone to bed early in the morning figuring I'd sleep in late. Unfortunately, the lawn maintenance guys didn't get that memo. I was awoken to the sound of chainsaws. Ugh. They were trimming the branches of the trees that were rubbing against the buildings. The fact of the matter is that whoever planted those trees planted them too close. The tree outside my window is maybe 8-9 feet away.
Dark clouds rolled across the desert and around the town proper but not in the town. Humidity went up, thunder sounded in the background, and the power flickered here once -- which isn't surprising for my area since it seems the power goes down faster than Monica Lewinsky. Oooh, bad joke. Sorry. ;o)
I exchanged a few messages with my step-mother via AIM. She said she would send me a picture of my grandma's house, which she did later in the afternoon. It's a small picture (384x256) and I'll probably post it tomorrow as well as some comments about how it's changed since my childhood.
For dinner: pepperoni pizza! Heartburn! Who cares!!
