belated friday five

1. What's your favorite TV show and why?
Right now, I'd say Gilmore Girls is my favorite show. The why is simple: it's the only shop that has enough sarcasm and family weirdness to match my own. I see myself, in pieces, in all the characters from Rory to Sooki. Of course I'd love to see a little of Luke or Dean in me... so to speak. heh heh *slaps himself*

2. Who is your favorite television star?
There isn't one that stands out head and shoulders over the rest. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing. :o/

3. What was your favorite TV show as a child?
Honestly, I don't remember watching much TV when I was a kid. I was more prone to play with my LegosTM or other toys. If I can think of one I'll add it here retroactively.

4. What show do you think should have been cancelled by now?
Ally McBeal. I have never understood why anyone would have the slightest interest in this show. The whole dancing baby thing was just evil.

5. What new show do you hope escapes the axe this season?
Hmm, this is a toughie. Maybe the Reba show on the WB. Yeah, it's kinda schticky but I like it. :o)
  • Current Music: Siouxsie and the Banshees - "Kiss Them For Me [12 Inch Snapper Mix]"
Bon Ami! I recently watched an episode of 'Gilmore Girls' and I loved! I'm now a fan of this show! I'm sadden b the short life of my fave show, 'Once and Again'. Hope it's picked up by LIFETIME. Anyways, I enjoy lurking around your journal. Enjoy your evening!

It is sad that "Once and Again" ended last week. There was so much potential for that show it's a shame it won't be realized now, and yet other shows like "NYPD Blue" couldn't be killed with a nuclear bomb. *sigh* Sela Ward had an incredible character just like she did in her previous series "Sisters", which btw I totally loved. And Billy Campbell... well besides the fact he's completely and totally drop dead gorgeous, the character he played was so enjoyable as well.

After "Daria" had ended earlier this year I had wondered what would be my new favorite show. "Law & Order" I still liked but not quite as the favorite. "Stargate SG-1" shows too erratically here for me to keep up with it. I was severely tempted to go with "the Golden Girls" (I <3 Lifetime for Women for keeping it around btw) but I assumed the question meant shows in current production.
GOLDEN GIRLS ROCK! I can never get enough of those women! They remain fresh today as they did back in their glory days. Hope you don't mind if I add you to my friends list!

Enjoy your day!

Sure, I don't mind anyone adding me. I've added you to my list as well (and will try to discover from you what exactly is the attraction to martinis.) I really don't require reciprocation... oh my, is this linking I'm talking about or sex? heh
Didya see that ep of Lorelai telling the tale of Skippy the Hamster? :o)

Love Gilmore Girls. It's a weird show. I like weird shows. And I like people who can string 'Law & Order' and 'Gilmore Girls' in one sentence. Love NYPD Blue...with Jimmy Smits. Detest NYPD Blue, if I have to see just the ugly people. Ally McBeal is one of the most terrible things to have ever graced TV. Rivalled, perhaps, by only Beverly Hills 90210.

It was good to finally see Silk Stalkings have a proper ending. Loved that show, I did. :o)
